The role of chiropractor is  is to detect and correct the source of your problems.   Years of schooling, continued education and clinical applications have taught Dr. Hawk to examine the entire body and not just the site of complaint(s).    

In the above picture you can see Dr. Hawk examining one of his patient's ankles and feet.  During the exam he explains and demonstrates to each patient how the body works as a system called the "kinetic chain."  In short, this means that every joint within the body will affect the mechanics of other joints.  As Dr. Hawk explains it, "you're feet and ankles are where your body meets the road.  If the foundations of your body (ankles and feet) are working improperly, then other joints away from that structure will have to compensate by taking on exaggerated motions.  Then end result may lead to knee, hip, low back and even neck dysfunction."    On multiple occassions a new patient has presented themselves to Dr. Hawk's office with a very localized and specific complaint.   During the patients initial exam, Dr. Hawk has discovered that the chief complaint by the patient stems for an old injury to a structure in another location.  Care is initiated at the site of discomfort and then he targets the "true area of dysfunction."  As the patients symptoms decrease, a care plan is presented to the patient for rehabilitation, as well as, wellness care.  

Dr. Hawk's goals are your goals.  Coupled with his knowledge of biomechanics (how a person musculoskeletal system is aligned and functioning) he utelizes deductive reasoning in conjuction with and a history based examination to arrive at a clear and understandable diagnosis.  His treatment plans are straight forward, supported by the lastest research and always takes into consideration you as the patient.
